you may be wondering what a jayrai is. well, it's the shipname for my blorbos of all time

they're my ocs!! you can read more about them here!

arai was the easiest to classpect and then i toiled over jayn for quite a while but we got there eventually once my classpecting friend helped me out

AT: Arai Qwynn is the Prince of Hope.

AT: Hope is the aspect of faith, utopia, and innocence.

AT: He destroys faith or through faith with the self as the end goal.

AT: In other words, his journey revolves around constantly seeking a fantasy, a utopian idea or solution to his problems instead of facing the true roots, destroying himself and those around him in the process, until he comes to the necessary realizations to move forward.

AT: Throughout the original universe, he worships Jayn to an unnatural degree.

AT: He sees them as The Solution to his biggest problem: his colorblindness.

AT: He intrinsicly believes that there's no hope left for him, but holds onto just the sliver of it. When he sees Jayn, that's a catalyst of destroying himself and those around him through this hope that some day, he will be fixed

AT: Pre-Jayn, he went through life knowing that he would always have to take a backseat, always keep his biggest secret under lock and key, and never get close to anyone.

AT: But when he was a kid, when he still had a little bit more hope, even when he knew he would have to move if his secret got out, he still tried to make it work.

AT: Maybe this time he'll be able to stay. Maybe this time things won't be as bad.

AT: Until eventually he learns that it will always be that bad.

AT: Until, that is, Jayn makes an apperance, and everything is shattered.

AT: The idea that there is actually a solution to his plight is what ruins Arai.

AT: He alienates himself, harming his relationships with others over the idea of Jayn.

AT: He also ruins all chances of actually cultivating a relationship with Jayn due to his obsession with viewing her as a tool that can fix him and not as an actual person.

AT: Eventually, he learns to place faith in other areas, specifically himself and those who actually care for him.

AT: Only when he gives up Jayn as his idol does he actually begin getting better, understanding that there isn't anything that can fix him because he's not broken.

AT: He learns to be happy with the family that loves him, instead of striving for the love of a mother who only sees her own failures in him.

and when i wrote my original page about him, i accidentally wrote down the summary for prince essentially verbatim a year before i got into classpecting

which made his classpecting process very easy actually

when i was learning about princes i read some snippets and went "huh... that sounds oddly familiar" and then arai just hit me and i fell over and there he was

its vaguely unfortunate that he shares a classpect with eridan but like who cares classpects dont mean theyre the same

hope is my favorite aspect, and prince is my favorite class, so i think its silly that i accidentally made The Mix of them and they ended up being my favorite guy ever soooo idk i just think its silly

TA: Jayn Hyde is the Thief of Heart.

TA: Heart is the aspect of identity, the self, and emotions.

TA: He steals identity or through identity with the self as the end goal.

TA: In other words, his journey revolves around centering and furthering herself through the constant shifting of masks, personas, and strategies. She keeps herself locked down, managing things around her carefully in order to craft her perfect persona, spiralling down until she understands that she does not need to take, and instead accept.

im still on the fence about jayn bc shes sooo difficult to me

shes been like twelve different classpects and i can see arguments for other results still

he can possibly be a page due to his constant soft power but incapability of getting what he really wants

if he was a page, he'd likely be a page of blood ... maybe

but he could also be a mind player, which is a lot more on my mind than the possibility of page of blood.....

i settled on heart because the foundation of jayn's self is their masks and rotating personas

but because of their detached approach im rotating the idea of mind

all of their interactions are carefully strategized and they've figured out how other people tick in order to ensure that their own image is exactly how they want it to be

there is a heavy logical atmosphere to their entire view of themself and their relationships with others

so idk im percolating. but yeah. those are my guys :3
